The 7th Akamagawa River Lantern Floating Ceremony

Every August, a seasonal summer event is held where lanterns are floated from the Takazawa Bridge over the Shingashi River (formerly the Akamagawa River).

The sight of the lit lanterns swaying gently on the water in the evening twilight is fantastic👍

On the day, food stalls will also be open in the afternoon.

Enjoy the summer while cooling off in the evening by the river.

　▷ Registration for same-day lantern participation begins at 3pm

　*The number of lanterns is limited⚠️ You can apply in advance at a store that sells lanterns🕯
