Senba Sengen Shrine Hatsuyama Festival
Every year on July 7th, the Hatsuyama Annual Festival of Senba Sengen Shrine (Fujimi Town) is held.
Hatsuyama is an event where people bring babies born in the past year and brides who have just been married and pray for their health and longevity.
Babies will have a red seal stamped on their foreheads or on the fans they are given.
Just like last year, there will be stalls set up in the temple grounds, selling sweet bean paste rice cakes and performances by the Hayashi Preservation Society. The stalls will close around 7:30pm, and the performance will finish around 8pm.
On the day, roads near the shrine will be closed to traffic and will be congested with street vendors, so we recommend visiting the shrine on foot.
There is no parking lot. Bicycle parking is available at the nearby Fujimicho Park.
There are traffic restrictions around the shrine. Please follow the rules when visiting.
